Maharashtra TET Exam to Be Held on June 21; Full Schedule and Details Announced

Aspirants preparing for teaching careers in Maharashtra now have a confirmed date to mark on their calendars. The State Examination Council has officially declared that the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), a compulsory qualification for teachers, will take place on June 21, 2026.
Sharing the details, State Examination Council Commissioner Mahesh Chothe informed that the online application process will begin on March 27 and continue until April 16. Candidates must note that the application form is required to be filled out strictly in English.
The importance of clearing the TET has increased significantly following a Supreme Court ruling, which mandates that all teachers in the state must qualify this examination. In the previous round of the TET, nearly 50,000 candidates successfully cleared the exam, including a number of in-service teachers. For those who have not yet passed, this upcoming exam offers another opportunity.
Candidates who register for the exam will be able to download their hall tickets between June 9 and June 21. On the day of the examination, Paper 1 will be conducted in the morning session from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, while Paper 2 will take place in the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
The application process will be conducted entirely online, and no offline submissions will be accepted under any circumstances. Applicants are required to pay the examination fee through online modes such as net banking, credit cards, or debit cards. Once the payment is successfully completed, the application will be considered final, and no corrections or modifications will be permitted afterward.
Officials have also indicated that while the schedule has been announced, there remains a possibility of minor changes due to administrative reasons.
