Public Cooperation Essential for Planned Urban Development
PCMC officials stated that land has been reserved in the city’s development plan for public amenities, roads, and infrastructure projects. Keeping these reserved spaces free from encroachments is crucial for ensuring planned and systematic urban growth. Citizens have been urged not to carry out any unauthorized construction or encroachment on such designated lands. Authorities also highlighted that encroachments on reserved plots can obstruct future development projects and will be removed as per rules. The civic body has appealed for public cooperation to achieve planned city development.

“Removing encroachments is essential to strengthen major roads and public infrastructure in Pimpri Chinchwad in a safe and sustainable manner. Considering the city’s growing population, traffic pressure, and future needs, road widening is not merely an administrative action but directly linked to improving citizens’ quality of life. With public cooperation, such drives can be implemented more smoothly, transparently, and effectively. Every citizen has a role in making the city more organized and well-developed. We appeal to residents to support such initiatives for overall development and future infrastructure needs,” said Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi, Commissioner, PCMC.
