In a recent interview, the former all-rounder revealed a chilling moment when doctors had warned him that he had only three to six months to live, leaving him facing the toughest challenge of his life.
Widely celebrated for his heroics in the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup and the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, Yuvraj was at the peak of his career when his health suddenly deteriorated following India’s World Cup triumph in 2011.
Doctor’s Dire Warning Shocked Yuvraj
After being diagnosed with a tumor located between his lungs and heart, Yuvraj recalled how a doctor warned him about the severity of his condition. Yuvraj admitted that he wasn’t afraid of dying, but the thought of losing his long-awaited place in the Test team troubled him deeply. In an emotional recollection, he said he initially told doctors that he would rather play cricket even if it meant risking his life.
