Baramati, May 16, 2026: Baramati constituency Member of Parliament and senior leader Supriya Sule has urged the authorities to remove additional vehicles and reduce the police convoy deployed for her security, citing the need for prudent use of national resources amid ongoing economic and energy challenges.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Sule stated that India is currently facing a serious economic and energy crisis, making it necessary to conserve fuel and other essential resources.

In her message, she made a formal appeal to the government to withdraw the extra security arrangements, including additional police vehicles assigned for her protection. Sule’s Statement

In her post, she wrote : 

“At present, India is facing a severe economic and energy crisis. As a result, there is a growing need to use fuel and other resources carefully. In this context, I humbly request the government to immediately withdraw the police security and accompanying vehicles provided for my protection. After the situation improves and the energy and economic crisis is reviewed, they may be reconsidered if truly required. Thank you.”

The appeal has drawn attention as part of a broader public discourse on resource conservation and government expenditure during challenging economic conditions.
