Pune: Fire Breaks Out at NIBM Director’s Government Bungalow in Kondhwa Khurd, No Casualties Reported
Pune, May 25, 2026: A major fire broke out at the government bungalow of the institute director at NIBM Institute, A-Type Bungalow premises in Kondhwa Khurd, during the early hours of Monday.
According to officials, the incident occurred at around 3:50 am. The fire completely gutted the bedroom and hall area of the bungalow, causing extensive property damage.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. Fire brigade personnel reached the spot promptly and managed to bring the blaze under control before it could spread further.
The firefighters and staff present at the scene included driver Swapnil Kamthe, firemen Sagar Dalvi, Nilesh Wankhede, Harshad Yevale, Harsh Khade, and Sandeep Kawade. After completing the rescue and firefighting operation, the team returned to the fire station.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
