Pune: PMC Announces Water Cut In Yerawada, Sangamwadi On June 2
Pune, May 29, 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a scheduled water supply shutdown in several parts of the city on Tuesday, June 2, due to maintenance work related to the Lashkar Water Supply Centre.
According to an official notice issued by the PMC Water Supply Department, water supply from the Thackersey tank under the Lashkar water distribution system will remain suspended for an entire day in multiple localities. Citizens have been requested to cooperate with the administration and make necessary arrangements in advance.

The affected areas include the entire Yerawada region, Sangamwadi, Gandhinagar, Kalyaninagar, parts of Bungalow No. 5 area, government residential quarters near Tadiwala Road, Jai Jawan Nagar, Ruby Hall area in Sangamwadi, Ramnagar, and parts of Laxminagar.
PMC officials stated that due to the shutdown, residents in these areas may face inconvenience throughout Tuesday. The civic body has appealed to citizens to use water carefully and avoid wastage during the disruption period.
The administration further informed that water supply on Wednesday, June 3, may resume with low pressure and at a slower pace in some localities. Residents have therefore been advised to store adequate drinking water and plan their daily needs accordingly.
The notice has been issued by the Assistant Chief Engineer of the Lashkar Water Supply Department, Pune Municipal Corporation, as part of the civic body’s ongoing maintenance and infrastructure works aimed at improving the city’s water distribution system.
