Pune, June 18, 2026: Kharadi Police have arrested eight individuals, including a self-styled godman, in connection with an alleged long-running case involving sexual assault, cheating, criminal intimidation, physical and mental harassment, and offences under the Maharashtra Anti-Superstition and Black Magic Act.

According to police, the case has been registered at Kharadi Police Station under Crime Register No. 210/2026 based on a complaint filed by a woman. In her complaint, the survivor alleged that between 2001 and 2026, the prime accused, Radhamohan Mishra, falsely projected himself as a divine figure and gained the trust of her family by exploiting their religious beliefs.

The complainant alleged that Mishra manipulated and deceived her family over several years, causing mental, emotional, and financial harm. She further claimed that between 2009 and 2026, Mishra, along with his associates, subjected her to repeated physical abuse, verbal harassment, inhuman treatment, and sexual exploitation.

Acting under the guidance of senior officers, Kharadi Police conducted a raid at the premises linked to the accused and arrested the following individuals Radhamohan Mishra (59), Swami Kanwal Nayan (58), Kirti Hansraj Ahuja (38), Kanika Hansraj Ahuja (34), Khushbu Gajender Hudiya (37), Shweta Avadhbihari Mishra (37), Amrita Avadhbihari Mishra (32) and Shweta Sanjay Pandey (28). 

During the search operation, police seized several electronic devices and valuables, including eight laptops, nine mobile phones, 19 hard disks, 20 cassette tapes, 10 DVDs, one DVR machine, two CPU units, 23 pen drives, cash amounting to ₹6.6 lakh, and gold and silver ornaments. The total value of the seized property is estimated at ₹25.77 lakh.

The investigation is being led by Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Chavan of Kharadi Police Station.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Sanjay Darade, Additional Commissioner of Police (East Region) Manoj Patil, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Tejaswi Satpute, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Gauhar Hasan, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone 7 Prashant Amritkar, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Kharadi Division) Nutan Pawar, and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime-2) Rajendra Mulik.

The police team involved in the action included Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Chavan, Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Godse, and police personnel Navnath Walke, Nanekar, Shrikant Shende, Surendra Sable, and Shrikant Kodre.
