Pune, June 24, 2026: The third merit list for the Class 11 Centralised Admission Process (CAP) was released on June 23, providing admission opportunities to thousands of students across the Pune division. Students allotted seats under the CAP, in-house, minority, and central quota categories have been instructed to confirm their admissions by June 25.

The School Education Department has advised students not to depend solely on SMS notifications and to verify their allotment status through the official admission portal. Candidates must visit their allotted junior colleges in person and complete all admission formalities within the stipulated deadline.

Officials said students who did not secure seats in the earlier rounds were given an opportunity to revise their college preferences based on their SSC examination scores and previous cut-off trends. Those allotted seats in their preferred colleges in the third round must complete the admission process by June 25. Students who fail to confirm their admissions or do not receive allotments will receive further instructions regarding subsequent rounds through the admission portal.

The department also clarified that candidates who applied under the in-house, minority, and central quota categories between June 18 and June 20 may receive allotments under multiple quotas. However, once a student confirms admission under any one quota, they become ineligible for participation in further admission rounds.

According to official figures, 28,234 students were allotted seats in the third round out of 89,663 eligible applicants in the Pune division. Among them, 16,842 students secured admission in their first-preference colleges, while 5,727 received their second preference and 2,200 their third preference.

Science continued to be the most sought-after stream, accounting for 16,025 allotments, followed by Commerce with 7,363 seats and Arts with 4,846 allotments.

Education officials have urged students and parents to complete the admission process before the deadline to avoid losing their allotted seats.
