Kangana Ranaut Reacts To Ketan Agarwal Murder Case, Says Parents Cannot Be Blamed
Pune, June 26, 2026: Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has weighed in on the sensational Ketan Agarwal murder case, urging people not to hold the parents of the accused responsible for the alleged crime committed by their daughter.
The case, which has drawn nationwide attention following the arrest of Siya Goyal and her alleged boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary in connection with the murder of 26-year-old Pune-based businessman Ketan Agarwal, has sparked widespread debate on social media. While many users have criticised Siya’s family and questioned her upbringing, Kangana took a different stand.

Sharing her views on Instagram Stories, Kangana said parents should not automatically be blamed for the actions of their adult children.
“Parents should not be held responsible for crimes committed by their children. In today’s digital age, social media, artificial intelligence, and peer influence often have a greater impact on young minds than parenting,” she wrote.
The actress further said that judging a family solely based on a child’s actions is unfair. According to her, a good family background or well-educated parents can no longer guarantee how a child will behave.
“Today, it is more important to know who children spend time with and what they consume online than how they behave at home. Young people often live multiple parallel lives that parents may know nothing about,” Kangana stated.
She added that society should stop evaluating an entire family’s values based on the alleged actions of one individual.
Kangana’s remarks came amid intense public reaction to the Ketan Agarwal murder case. Police allege that Agarwal was pushed into a gorge at Lohagad Fort by his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged partner, Chetan Chaudhary, as part of a planned conspiracy. Both accused are currently in police custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
Her comments have triggered mixed reactions online, with some social media users supporting her view that parents should not be blamed for the alleged crimes of their adult children, while others disagreed and continued to question the family’s role.
