Pune News: These Areas Of City To Face Water Cut On July 2
Pune, June 29, 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced that water supply will remain suspended in several parts of the city on Thursday, July 2, due to repair work on a 1,000 mm diameter main water pipeline supplying water from the Parvati HLR Reservoir to the Padmavati Pumping Station.
According to the Water Supply Department, the pipeline has developed a leakage near Avanti Society in Padmavati, making urgent repairs necessary. As a result, water supply from the Padmavati Pumping Station to the Seminary Tank, Bibwewadi Tank, Taljai Tank and Upper Indiranagar Pumping Station will remain completely shut on July 2.
PMC clarified that the affected areas will receive regular water supply on Wednesday, July 1. However, on Friday, July 3, water supply will resume late in the morning and at low pressure. Citizens have been requested to store sufficient water in advance and cooperate with the civic administration during the repair work.
The areas likely to be affected include Sahakarnagar, Padmavati, Vanashiv Vasti, Tirupatinagar, Chavan Nagar, Sambhaji Nagar, Taljai, Bibwewadi, parts of Mukund Nagar, Maharshi Nagar, Gangadham, Chintamani Nagar Phases I & II, Lake Town, Shivtej Nagar, Upper, Lower and Super Indiranagar, Shelke Vasti, Mahesh Society, Bibwewadi Gaothan, Prem Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Dias Plot, Dole Mala, Salisbury Park, Giridhar Bhavan Chowk, Thakre Vasahat, Parvati Gaothan, Seminary Zone, Mitha Nagar, Shivneri Nagar, Bhagyoday Nagar, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Sai Baba Nagar, Survey Nos. 42 and 46 (Kondhwa Khurd), Padmavati Tanker Filling Centre, Parvati Darshan, parts of Dhankawadi, Gulab Nagar, Raut Baug, Punyai Nagar, Kashinath Patil Nagar, K.K. Market area, Manmohan Park, Todkar Township, State Bank Nagar, Om Abhishek, Om Alankar, Vastukalp, Gruhakalp Society, Damodar Nagar, Vidyasagar Society, 276 Ota area, Vaibhav Society, Canara Bank area, Suyog Aditya area, Yogayog Society, Ramyanagari, Jedhe Nagar, Janseva Society, Navmitra Society, Bhagale Hospital area, Kothari Block, Vasant Baug, Aniket Society, Bibwewadi-Kondhwa Road, Aai Mata Temple area, Gagan Vihar, Gagan Galaxy, Sopan Maharaj Society, and the entire Market Yard area.
