Pune: Doctor Dies After Falling From Residential Building in Ravet; Police Probe Cause of Death
Pimpri Chinchwad, July 4, 2026: A woman doctor working at a reputed private hospital in Thergaon died after allegedly jumping from a residential building in Ravet, police said on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Dr. Shweta Rokde, who was living on rent with two of her friends at Celestial City Society in Ravet.
According to Senior Police Inspector Rishikesh Ghadge, the Ravet Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident. Dr. Rokde, who was found critically injured, was immediately shifted to the District Hospital in Aundh for treatment. However, doctors declared her dead before treatment could begin.
Police have informed her family about the incident. The exact reason behind her death is yet to be ascertained.
Investigators are examining all possible angles, including whether it was a case of suicide or if any foul play was involved. Ravet Police have registered the case and further investigation is underway.
