Pune: Hadapsar–Dive Ghat Road To Remain Closed Today For Rock Removal Work Ahead Of Palkhi Procession
Pune, July 4, 2026: The Pune City Traffic Police have announced a temporary traffic closure on the Hadapsar–Dive Ghat stretch of the Alandi–Pandharpur Palkhi Highway on Friday, July 4, to facilitate the removal of hazardous roadside rocks ahead of the annual Palkhi procession.
According to the traffic advisory, the rock removal work will be carried out along the Hadapsar to Dive Ghat section to ensure the safety of devotees and commuters during the Palkhi pilgrimage.
As a result, vehicular traffic on this route will remain completely closed from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
The Traffic Police have appealed to motorists and citizens to use alternative routes during the closure period and cooperate with the authorities to avoid inconvenience.
The advisory also urged commuters to travel safely and support efforts to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the Palkhi procession.
