Considering the seriousness of the situation and the continuing heavy rain, the administration sought assistance from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). A 30-member team from the 5th Battalion, NDRF, Pune, was immediately deployed to the site.

The rescue team, led by Inspector Ravinder under the supervision of Assistant Commandant Chandraketu Sharma, comprises one officer, two senior personnel and 27 trained rescuers. Equipped with specialised search, rescue and life-saving equipment, the team left for Patan village at around 5.30 am.

Rescue operations are currently underway. Officials have not yet confirmed any casualties. However, continuous heavy rainfall and the remote location of the village are posing significant challenges to the ongoing rescue efforts.
