Temporary Weather Disruptions Hit Pune Airport; Flight Operations Restored, Passengers Advised To Check Status Before Travel
Pune, July 6, 2026: Flight operations at Pune Airport were temporarily affected earlier in the day due to adverse weather conditions in the region, leading to minor disruptions including diversions and delays. Airport authorities confirmed that operations are now gradually returning to normal as weather conditions improve.
An IndiGo flight (6E-502) operating from Chennai to Pune was safely diverted before landing at Pune Airport, while another IndiGo service (6E-135) from Kolkata to Pune, currently en route via Hyderabad, is expected to arrive around 1700 hrs.
In addition, one Akasa Air flight was cancelled due to operational reasons of the airline.
Despite these disruptions, terminal operations at Pune Airport remained normal throughout the day, with all passenger facilities functioning without interruption. Authorities stated that no further weather-related delays or diversions are anticipated at present.
Passengers have been advised to check the latest flight status with their respective airlines before heading to the airport.
