Applications Invited For Pune District Youth Awards; Submission Deadline Is July 15
Pune, July 8, 2026: The District Sports Office has invited applications from eligible young men, young women, and registered organisations for the District Youth Awards for four award years 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26—under the Maharashtra Government’s Youth Policy.
District Sports Officer Jagannath Lakade has appealed to eligible individuals and organisations that have made significant contributions to youth welfare to submit their applications by July 15, 2026.
Under the award scheme, one young man, one young woman and one registered organisation will be honoured each year at the district level. The youth award includes a certificate of appreciation, a memento and a cash prize of ₹10,000 each for the male and female recipients. The selected organisation will receive a certificate of appreciation, a memento and a cash prize of ₹50,000.
To be eligible, applicants for the youth awards must be at least 13 years old as of April 1 of the respective award year and not more than 35 years old as of March 31. They must have been residents of the concerned district for a minimum of five consecutive years. Organisations applying for the award must be registered and should have been functioning for at least five years.
The selection committee will consider contributions made in areas including social service in rural and urban areas, youth development, education, healthcare, environmental conservation, sports, science and technology, women’s empowerment, de-addiction initiatives, national integration, disaster management, welfare of vulnerable sections of society, and nation-building activities.
Applicants must submit documentary evidence supporting their work, all required documents, and a CD containing a PowerPoint presentation for the interview process.
Applications in the prescribed format should be submitted during office hours to the District Sports Officer’s Office, Survey No. 191, Divisional Sports Complex, Maharashtra Housing Board, opposite Moze High School, Yerawada, Pune – 411006, on or before July 15, 2026.
