Pune, July 16, 2026: The Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation (MSIDC) will hold the foundation stone-laying ceremony for three major road infrastructure projects in Pune on Saturday, July 18. The projects include the Pune–Shirur Expressway, the Hadapsar–Yavat Elevated Corridor, and the Talegaon–Chakan–Shikrapur Elevated Highway.

Ahead of the ceremony, Maharashtra Public Works Minister Shivendrasinhraje Bhosale on Wednesday reviewed the preparations for the event and directed all concerned departments and local public representatives to work in coordination to ensure its successful execution.

The foundation stone for the three projects will be laid at 1.30 pm on July 18 at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch in Pune by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.

The review meeting was attended by Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharane, Pune Mayor Manjusha Nagpure, MLAs Rahul Kul, Sunil Kamble, Sharad Sonawane, Dnyaneshwar Katke, Yogesh Tilekar, Chetan Tupe, Bapusaheb Pathare, Hemant Rasane, Sunil Shelke and Babaji Kale, along with Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi and senior officials from various departments. MPs Supriya Sule and Amol Kolhe participated in the meeting via video conferencing.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Bhosale said the three road projects have been planned to address the growing traffic congestion in and around Pune and would be implemented efficiently within the stipulated timeline.

He said the Hadapsar–Yavat Road Project will be executed through coordination between the Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation and the Metro administration. A separate meeting involving the Pune Municipal Corporation and the Traffic Police will also be held to prepare a traffic management plan during the construction phase.

Bhosale added that all three projects are scheduled to be completed within four years.

Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharane said suggestions and concerns raised by local public representatives would be duly considered during the implementation of the projects.

MP Supriya Sule stressed the need to prioritise road works along the annual Palkhi pilgrimage route, while MP Amol Kolhe called for preparing a comprehensive traffic management plan for the Pune–Shirur Road Project.

During the meeting, MSIDC Chief Engineer Ranjit Hande gave a detailed presentation on the scope and implementation plan of all three infrastructure projects.
