Pune: Tourism Department Invites Citizens To Share Details Of Hidden Gems And Unexplored Destinations
Pune, July 16, 2026: The Regional Deputy Director Office of the Directorate of Tourism has appealed to citizens, tourism enthusiasts, researchers and organisations to share information about known and lesser-known tourist destinations in Pune district to help promote and showcase the region’s diverse tourism potential.
Pune district, known for its rich historical, religious, natural and cultural heritage, attracts tourists from across India and abroad. The initiative aims to promote not only traditional tourist attractions but also newly developed scenic, adventure-based, rural and eco-friendly tourism destinations.
The Tourism Department has invited details including historical, spiritual and cultural information, references, photographs, maps, documents, unique features of tourist locations, travel routes, available facilities, local traditions and the best time to visit these destinations.

The collected information will help in creating greater awareness and promoting Pune district’s diverse tourism offerings among visitors.
