Pune Police Seize 100 Termiva Sedative Injections, Two Held On Ivy Estate Road In Wagholi 

Pune, July 23: Pune Police’s Zone-7 unit has arrested two persons for allegedly transporting injections used for drug consumption illegally in the Wagholi area. The action was carried out as part of the police department’s ongoing “Mission Crackdown” campaign against narcotics, illegal activities and criminal networks.

Acting on confidential information, a special police team from Wagholi Police Station laid a trap at IV Estate Road, Orchid Sai Properties, Wagholi, at around 6:15 am on July 22, 2026. The team intercepted two suspects who were allegedly carrying banned injections without proper authorisation.

The arrested accused have been identified as:

• Suraj Padmakar Bhutte (19), resident of Barava Mile, Lonikand, Pune
• Akash Ganesh Dhanawade (19), resident of Barava Mile, Lonikand, Pune

Police said the duo was found travelling on a motorcycle bearing registration number MH 12 ZF 7436 and allegedly carrying 100 bottles of 30 ml Termiva injections, which are suspected to be used for intoxication purposes.

During preliminary investigation, police found that the injections were allegedly ordered online by the accused. Further investigation is underway to determine the source of procurement and possible involvement of others.

Seized Items Worth ₹2.01 Lakh

Police have seized:

• 100 Termiva injection bottles: ₹39,387
• Two-wheeler: ₹80,000
• Two mobile phones: ₹10,000

The total value of the seized material is estimated at ₹2,01,387.

The accused and seized items have been handed over to the Wagholi Police Station for further legal proceedings. The investigation is being conducted by the station duty officer, Police Sub-Inspector Darshan Devgade.

The operation was carried out by a special team led by Assistant Police Inspector Gorakshnath Kharad and Police Sub-Inspector Nitin Rathod, along with police personnel including Sushil Bendre, Vilas Kedari, Ganesh Ithape, Hariprasad Punde, Shubham Chinke, Amol Sartape and Lalu Karhe.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-7) Avinash Kumar appreciated the team for the action.

Police Continue Crackdown on Illegal Activities

Pune Police Zone-7 said the Mission Crackdown campaign against illegal gutkha sales, narcotics, illicit liquor, gambling activities and other unlawful operations will continue across the city with intensified action in the coming days.

Police have appealed to citizens to share information about criminal activities, drug networks, illegal businesses or possession of illegal weapons. Officials assured that the identity of informants will be kept confidential.

Police urged citizens to cooperate in making Pune safer and free from illegal activities.
