Pune News : Pune police takes action against Effingut Breweries Restaurant and bar for flouting norms
Social Security Department of Pune City Police took action against Effingut Breweries Restaurant and bar for flouting noise pollution regulations. A sound system worth ₹ 3.10 lakhs have been seized by the police of the restaurant.
On March 3, police officers were patrolling the area when they noticed loud music being played from the sound system of the establishment. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the music was playing at an alarming volume, which prompted the officials to confiscate the sound system and DJ mixer.
The manager of the establishment was charged under the Environmental Protection Act of 1986 and the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control of 2000) Act. The confiscated material was taken into custody at the Koregaon Park Police Station, where actions will be taken under the Noise Pollution Regulations.
