In an effort to expedite the Aadhaar update process for citizens, the Pune district administration has announced that Aadhaar Seva Centres will be open even on government holidays. The announcement was made by Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, who urged citizens to update their Aadhaar details if they have not done so already.

According to reports, there are approximately 33 lakh 26 thousand 823 citizens in Pune district whose Aadhaar details need to be updated. To speed up the process, Dr. Deshmukh recently held a meeting with various officials to discuss Aadhaar enrollment in the district.

As part of the initiative, the Collector has directed that all Aadhaar Seva Centres should be open on government holidays and weekly days. Additionally, a special campaign called ‘Aadhaar Document Update Fortnight’ will be implemented at the Taluka, Mandal, and Zonal Office levels from 15th April to 30th April 2023.
