Pune : Fire breaks out at garbage sorting shed at Sai chowk in Balewadi
A major fire erupted at the Garbage Sorting Shed located near Sai Chowk, in Balewadi, Pune last night wherein the nearby residents reported hearing of explosions too.
The fire was extinguished by two fire brigade tow vehicles, while police personnel were present at the scene and cordoned off the area.
Ameya Jagtap from United Balewadi Federation shared that the information of fire was conveyed to him by the residents of 43 Privet society.”
Pune Pulse had recently raised the health concerns shared by the local residents about the sorting shed being created on the footpath. There were no reports of any injuries.
