Pune : 8 cloth bag machines and one plastic disposal machine to be installed at prominent places in Pune on pilot basis
Zensar – RPG Foundation on April 25 donated eight cloth bag machine and one plastic disposal machine to Pune Municipal Corporation on April 25. Zensar RPG is a Public trust registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 which has CEAT limited, Zensar Technologies Ltd, KEC International Ltd. RECKAM R P G Pvt Ltd, RPG Life Sciences Ltd, Spencers and Co ltd companies. These machines will enable to curb use of plastic bags and these machines will be beneficial for women to make bags. These machines will be installed at various places in Pune on pilot basis. After one month the popularity of these machines will be ascertained and further action of installing at other public places will be taken. These machines will be given to SHGs, differently abled, transgenders and other social organisations, informed Vikram Kumar.
The handing over ceremony saw presence of MLA Madhuri Misal, Dr Kunal Khemnar, additional commissioner, Dr Ketki Ghatge, heatlh officer, PMC, Ashok Ghorpade, garden suptd and many others.
