MLA Mahesh Landage to host free show of The Kerala Story on May 11

Bhosari constituency MLA Mahesh Landage has organised a free show of The Kerala Story movie at the Chinchwad City One’s PVR theatre on May 11. The movie was released on May 5 across all theatres. 

The Kerala Story is a 2023 Indian, Hindi-language film directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The plot follows the story of a group of women from Kerala who converted to Islam and joined the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. 

The film is facing flak since its release, wherein a few states have reportedly banned the film.  

Landage said, “We want women in our country to live in a safe and secured environment. Women are being trapped under the name of love, lucrative jobs, etc. This film shows the reality of life. We want women to see the movie and keep themselves alert always.” 

Three shows of the movie will be screened at the theatre on the day at the theater.
