Pune : Four People Attack Person with Sharp Sickle in Pimpri; FIR Registered at Chikhali Police Station

Pune: Four people tried to murder a youth with an iron sickle. The youth is identified as Aditya Salunkhe. An FIR was registered in Chikhali police station on July 2.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Dnyaneshwar Katkar, Police Inspector, Chikhali Police Station said, “The incident took place near the Hanuman temple at Rupinagar in Talwade at around 2 pm on July 1. Aditya had minor disputes with the accused people. When Aditya was going to work with a friend, the four accused stopped them near the Hanuman temple. They attacked him with iron sickles injuring him seriously. One of the accused is identified as Ganesh Matkar.”
As per information from Dnyaneshwar Katkar, Aditya & the four accused belong to different society level organisations where they are involved in various petty disputes. However, this sickle attack is a vicious one. Hence, a case has been registered against the four accused under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation is going on regarding the same.
