Pune News : Man arrested for molesting woman

Pune: The Shivajinagar Police have arrested an accused identified as Lakshman Tukaram Ghode on the charges of molesting a woman.
As per information, the complainant was walking from her home under the Shivajinagar Municipal Bridge to the Bavdhan bus stop on July 2 during nighttime. Taking advantage of the dark, the accused approached the woman and molested her.
When the complaint was filed, Senior Police Inspector Arvind Mane along with his team checked the CCTV footage. The investigation team laid a trap and an undercover officer kept a watch for the accused every night after July 2.
When the undercover officer got information that the accused was present under the municipal bridge, Senior Police Inspector Arvind Mane sent a team to nab the accused. The accused tried to run away however, the police managed to catch him.
A case has been registered under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) & further probe is going on.
