The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has so far collected property tax revenue of Rs 1 thousand 100 crores.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Ajit Deshmukh, Head, PMC Tax Department, said “The various concession & discount schemes implemented by the PMC for property tax collection are working from 15 May to 28 July, Rs 1,100 crores property tax has been collected from Pune property holders.”

As per information from Ajit Deshmukh, the period of availing the tax deduction will be till 31st July only. Therefore, an appeal has been made by the Property Tax Department to take advantage of this, and civic convenience centers will be open for tax payment even on the coming Saturday (29th July) and Sunday (30th July) holidays.

5 or 10 percent discount on general tax is given to the property holders in the PMC jurisdiction after paying the income tax by 31st July, 2023. Lottery scheme with prize up to Rs 1 crore from the PMC on payment of full property tax of residential, non-residential, commercial etc has been announced. 5 petrol cars, 15 e-bikes, 15 mobile phones, 10 laptops, a total of 45 prizes will be given to the winners.

There is no need to apply in different ways to avail the lottery scheme. Only the entire property tax needs to be paid before 31st July 2023. Although Saturday and Sunday are holidays, for the convenience of citizens, all the tax collection centers of the PMC will be open from 10 am to 5 pm.
