Pune News: Anti Extortion squad arrests person for carrying 2 country-made guns and 4 cartridges

Pune: The Anti Extortion Squad (AES), Pune nabbed a criminal for carrying 2 country made guns & 4 gun cartridges.
As per information, the officers of the crime branch received instructions from Ritesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police to keep an eye on the criminals who carry firearms and supply weapons in Pune city.
Under the supervision of Police Inspector, Pratap Mankar, Anti-Extortion Squad, Crime Branch, Pune City, was collecting information, based on the confidential information received by Police officers Surendra Jagdale and Sachin Ahiwale, a criminal on record who was carrying a country made gun, Sahas Vishwas Pol, the AES laid a trap in Pune area and caught him and seized 2 country-made guns and 4 cartridges worth Rs 42,000.
A case has been registered under Indian Arms Act Section 3 (25), Maharashtra Police Act Section 37 (1) 135. The said accused is currently in police custody and further investigation is being conducted by Police Sub-Inspector Mohandas Jadhav. A case of injury has already been registered against the said accused.
