IMD predicts heavy rainfall for Mumbai; orange alert for Konkan

Pune: The state has been experiencing active monsoon conditions since Thursday. Rains persist in many parts of the state.
Additionally, the Meteorological department has forecasted heavy rainfall in Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan and Dombivali regions.
As per the information, the intensity of rainfall has increased significantly in Mumbai, resulting in heavy downpours throughout the city and its suburbs.
These continuous rains have caused waterlogging in multiple areas, including Ghatkopar, Kurla, Marine Drive, and Andheri impacting traffic.
As per the information received, the monsoon has become active in various locations across the state, leading the Meteorological Department to issue an orange alert for the entire Konkan region.
Nashik has also been warned of heavy rainfall, along with Vidarbha, where rain is expected for the next two days. Thane and Raigad regions are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.
Pune and Satara ghat areas have also been warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall. Isolated places in North Maharashtra are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall and Marathwada is likely to experience heavy downpours for two consecutive days.
