No lockdown in Pune; fresh guidelines issued by PMC

Pune Municipal Corporation’s Commissioner Vikram Kumar on March 12, 2021 issued fresh orders on restrictions on several activities in the city in view of increasing cases of Covid 19.

Establishments such as restaurants, hotels, bars, food courts outside containment zones should operate with only 50 percent seating capacity. All SOP’s issued to such establishments should be followed strictly or face strict action.  

All shops including malls, multiplexes should close by 10 pm. 
At all stalls on the road and other places not more than 5 people should be allowed. In case more people are found, strict action shall be taken. 
All primary, secondary schools, colleges, educational institutes shall remain closed till March 31, 2021. Meanwhile online education can continue. Class X and Class XII are exempted from this restriction as the examinations are approaching.

All social gatherings such as weddings, political functions, should not have more than 50 people. But places such as open lawns, open wedding halls, sports grounds shall not have more than 100 people. Incase of violation of any rules, such properties should be sealed.

Club houses within housing societies premises should remain closed till March 31, 2021.  
Public gardens shall remain open only during 6 am to 10 am (outside containment zones) 
All educational coaching classes should remain closed till March 31, 2021 (excluding MPSC and UPSC). Also, MPSC and UPSC classes should not have 50 percent seating. 
Restrictions on movement of people shall be in effect from March 14, 2021, 11 pm onwards till further notice. Except for newspapers, milk vendors, medical services and other emergency services.
