The cases in Pune Municipal Corporation and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits are rising, but there is also a growing preference of home isolation.

90 % of the patients in Pune are preferring home isolation while the rest who have some or other critical conditions have preferred the hospital. However, what remains in the fact that the PMC has started preparing the Jumbo Hospitals after a long gap as they had stopping their operations for months as cases were declining. Once again, the Pune will swing back in action to cease the rise in cases, informed PMC Mayor, Murlidhar Mohol.

While talking to the media persons on Monday, 22 March, the mayor informed, “500 beds are made available at the Jumbo COVID care, while the civic body is looking forward to add more beds in the coming days – close to hundred percent of its capacity, 800 beds. The cases are rising and the people must really take care. We are getting ready to tackle any rise in the cases.”

Mohol also commented that it won’t be wise to comment on the state government’s help to the city during crisis.
