PMPML ties up with STPI for urban mobility solutions

Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Motion – A centre of Excellence has signed an MoU with Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) to cooperate, synergise strengths and support the start ups working to resolve challenges in the domain of urban mobility.

It was signed in the presence of Dr Omkar Rai, Director General, STPI and chairman, STPINEXT, Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Director, STPI Maharashtra and Goa and Dr Rajendra Jagtap, chairman and managing director, PMPML, Government of Maharashtra.
Dr. Rai on this association stated that this partnership will provide massive opportunities to the start ups working to resolve real challenges in the Urban Mobility domain.

Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) chairman and managing and director, Dr Rajendra Jagtap said, “This is a unique and first of its kind association between a start up and incubation centre in E-Urban mobility of STPI govt of India and PMPML. It will work with PMPML to understand urban public transport problems and also work on the solutions and products that can be tried and tested in realtime.
In this Laboratory to land (field testing) approach shall be used. This venture will help both the entities to integrate strengths to resolve issues not just in Pune in particular but in urban transport in general. STPI has set up this COE for E mobilty in Bhosari MIDC by the name MOTION. If we have to undergo metamorphasis. We should be ready for innovative transformation.”
