Pune: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has prepared a Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) to tackle the rising issue of air pollution. Hence, the PCMC has invited objections, suggestions, comments etc from citizens.

As per further information from the public statement by Shekhar Singh, Municipal Commissioner, PCMC, the air pollution of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and several other cities in Maharashtra like Pune, Mumbai etc is getting worse day by day. The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has passed measures and guidelines to reduce air pollution.

Accordingly, as it is necessary to prepare an action plan to control the air pollution in Pimpri Chinchwad, the PCMC has prepared a Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) and it has been made available on the website of the PCMC for citizens’ objections and suggestions.

The said Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) will be available for citizens on the PCMC website from December 5 to December 19. Hence, citizens can send objections, suggestions etc either via email to [email protected] or in writing to the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.
