Pune: Residents of several areas of Pimpri Chinchwad will face water cut on December 20 (Wednesday) tonight & will be supplied with very little water on December 21 (Thursday) due to urgent leakage repair work at PCMC’s Ravet pumping station.
As per information from the PCMC, due to leakage in the rising main (vertical pipe) at Ravet pumping station phase no 3 & 4 of the water supply department of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), parts of Chinchwad, Nehrunagar, Thergaon, Kalewadi, Rahatani, Pimple Saudagar, Pimple Gurav, Sangvi, Wakad, Nigdi Authority, Tathwade, Kiwale, Mamurdi, Chikhli, some parts of Moshi, Jadhavwadi, Rupinagar, Talwade, Krishnanagar, Yamunanagar, Akurdi will have to face water supply cut from the evening of December 20 for water supply repair work. Also, the water supply on December 21 will be irregular and with low pressure.
The work of removing the leakage is going on rapidly. Hence, the PCMC has requested citizens to use water sparingly and cooperate with the PCMC.
