Pimpri Chinchwad half-marathon held in Pimple Saudagar

Pune: The ‘Pimpri Chinchwad Half Marathon 2023’ was successfully conducted in association with Yashada Reality Group MD Vasant Kate, ex-corporator Shatrughan Kate Youth Foundation on December 17 at 5:30 am at Late Balasaheb Kunjir Stadium in Pimple Saudagar.
For the third year in a row, the enthusiasm of the contestants was visible in the ‘Pimpri Chinchwad Half Marathon’.
As per information, the participants started running from Late Balasaheb Kunjir Stadium, Kunjir Chowk, PK Chowk to Kokane Chowk, Govind Yashada Chowk, Sudarshan Chowk, Nashik Phata to MIDC Corner, Bhosari and again to the starting spot i.e. Late Balasaheb Kunjir Stadium. Pimpri Chinchwadkars made this marathon event a success with a large number of people present.
The highlight of this year’s marathon was the 3 km fun run event. A 3 km fun run was organized especially for the avid runners who just want to run for fun. About 3500 marathoners participated in this competition in three group categories 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km. Everyone from children to old age participated in this half marathon competition and ran enthusiastically.
During the marathon, stations were set up at four places, and water, energy drinks, fruits, dates, etc were provided to the contestants. An ambulance was deployed during the marathon. About 100 volunteers were present for the marathon.
On this occasion, leaders Bhausaheb Bhoir, Chandrakant Anna Nakhate, Adv Rajesh Jadhav, Vivek Joshi, Suryakant Jadhav, Baba Tribhuvan, Suresh Bhoir, Moreshwar Shedge, Rajendra Gawde, Sandeep Gade, Kailas Kunjir, Rajabhau Masulkar, Arun Chabukswar, Kunda Bhise, Rohidas Gaware, Gopal Malekar, Shantanu Prabhune, Kiran Kakulte, Pravin Kunjir, Balkrishna Parghale, Deepak Gangurde, Radio Jockey RJ Tarun and other dignitaries were present.
