Samruddhi Highway Accident: Car Collides with Animal on Return from Shirdi, Leaving 7 Seriously Injured
A terrible car accident has taken place on the Samruddhi Mahamarg in which 7 people have been injured. The accident took place at Location 190 near Poha in Karanja taluka of Washim district.
As per further information, yesterday (26th December), while going to Chandrapur, after taking darshan of Sai Baba in Shirdi, a car collided with a wild animal. Fortunately, no one died in this accident. But seven people are seriously injured.
After the accident, all the passengers were rescued.
The accident happened near Poha village near Karanja in Washim district on Tuesday. Wild animals can be seen on the Samriddhi Mahamarg. These animals crossing the highway are often the cause of accidents.
Meanwhile, the injured people were returning home after visiting Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi.
Accidents on the Samruddhi Mahamarg have increased. Many wild animals have also been killed since the opening of this highway. As this highway passes through wildlife sanctuary, overpasses and underpasses were made to prevent these animals from entering the highway. However, the animals are crossing directly from the highway instead of overpasses & underpasses. Due to this, the vehicles coming at high speed often hit them, causing accidents. If an animal crosses the road at night, there is a possibility of a major accident, so there is a demand for a provision for this too.
