The Highway State Police, Maharashtra has issued approximately 2.4 lakh challans against commuters & motorists in 2023 for several offenses.
As per further information from the X handle of Highway State Police, Maharashtra “In 2023, Highway State Police Maharashtra issued up to 2.4 lakhs challans against motorists masking vehicle number plates & using illegal, broken number plates or symbols.”
Following is the number of challans issued by Highway State Police, Maharashtra in 2023:

The total number of challans is 2,17,307.
During the new year 2023, to ensure a safe & smooth traffic flow on the Mumbai-Pune expressway, the Highway Traffic Police, Maharashtra have urged all motorists to review & plan their travel & drive safely
