Central Railway (CR) is introducing a Holi Special Train service between Pune and Kanpur to accommodate the increased travel demand during the festive season. The special train will operate two trips in each direction.

Departing from Pune, train number 01038 is scheduled to leave at 06:35 hrs on Wednesdays, arriving in Kanpur on the following Thursdays at 07:10 hrs. The specific dates for these trips are 20th and 27th March 2024. On the return journey, the train will depart from Kanpur at 08:50 hrs on Thursdays, reaching Pune at 12:05 hrs on Fridays, on the dates of 21st and 28th March 2024.

The train composition includes 1 First AC, 1 AC-II Tier, 2 AC-III Tier, 5 Sleeper Class, and 8 General Second Class coaches, totaling 17 ICF Coaches. Additionally, there will be 2 guard’s brake vans included.

The train will make stops at several key stations en route, ensuring comprehensive coverage across significant locations between Pune and Kanpur. These stations include Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Rani Kamlapati, Bina, Virangana Laxmibal Jhansi, and Orai.

This Holi Special Train service is part of Central Railway’s ongoing efforts to meet the seasonal surge in travel demand, providing passengers with a reliable and festive means of reaching their destinations during one of India’s most celebrated festivals.
