In a disturbing incident, a customer discovered worms inside a high-protein buttermilk product from Amul, ordered online.

The user, Gajender Yadav, shared a video and photos of the infested product on social media, highlighting the risks associated with ordering dairy products online. This follows a previous report where a woman found a centipede inside an Amul ice cream pack.

Yadav, using the handle @imYadav31 on X, detailed that the buttermilk order took 10 to 12 days to arrive. Upon opening the parcel, he found white worms on the cardboard packaging and some buttermilk boxes were open, emitting a foul odour. He immediately reported the issue to Amul, who responded by asking for his address and assured him that their executive would contact him to resolve the issue.

In an update, Yadav mentioned that Amul apologized for the incident and that Amul Kanpur would send someone to address the problem and initiate a refund. Although they offered to replace the product, Yadav declined and was instructed to dispose of the contaminated boxes.

Social media users responded to the post and hilariously said that the company had sent what it

claimed – high protein, meaning worms.

One of the users said, “When they said high protein, surely this is not what they meant! @Amul_Coop what the hell!

Delhi man would be in the papers again tomorrow!” Another user said

“Packaged dairy sent by mail is generally not a great service to subscribe to.”

A user also said, “Precisely why I have avoided ordering online till now.

Yadav expressed his frustration, questioning the delayed delivery and the responsibility for potential health risks due to negligence. He also updated that the call he received was not from a senior team member capable of addressing his concerns comprehensively.
