The Member of Parliament identity card for Kangana Ranaut, who emerged victorious in the General Election 2024 from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh, has been delivered. The new MP posted a picture of herself on Instagram Stories on Friday along with the message, “New identity, new identity card.” She was seen showing her MP identity card in the picture.

Kangana is seen in the picture sporting a baby blue saree. She accessorised her appearance with minimal makeup, a set of earrings and a bindi. This occurred the day after a CISF agent slapped the actor-turned-politician while she was being screened for security at the Chandigarh airport.

A CISF constable smacked the actor on Thursday while she was travelling to Delhi following her security check at the Chandigarh airport. Kulwinder Kaur, the constable, was allegedly suspended shortly after the event. She is the subject of a filed complaint as well. Social media users extensively shared multiple videos of the actor with the Chandigarh airport constable. The officer was heard becoming enraged about Kangana’s remarks regarding the farmers’ protest in one of the recordings.

Kangana also posted a video shortly after the event to reassure her fans that she was unharmed. Subsequently, the actor said she was disappointed with Bollywood for not stepping up to offer her support in the wake of the airport event.

Regarding work, the recently appointed MP will feature in the eagerly awaited movie Emergency. Multiple delays in the film’s release were caused by unfinished production work and scheduling conflicts. Kangana, who is also the film’s producer and director, has not yet disclosed the movie’s new release date. Alongside her ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ co-star R Madhavan, she has also signed a psychological thriller. Among other movies, the actress-turned-politician can be seen in Sita: The Incarnation. She had, however, previously declared that she would give up acting if she won the election.
