Popular Marathi and Hindi film actor Ashish Warang has passed away at the age of 55. According to reports, Warang breathed his last on September 5 at his residence in Vartak Nagar, Thane. His untimely demise has left the Marathi and Bollywood entertainment industry in deep sorrow.

Warang, who made a strong mark in both Marathi cinema and Hindi films, was known for his impactful supporting roles. He appeared in several hit Bollywood films such as SooryavanshiMardaaniCircusSimmba, and Ek Villain Returns. His role as Inspector in Drishyam and “More” in Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani won him particular recognition. He also shared screen space with leading stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, John Abraham, and others.

In addition to films, Warang worked in Marathi serials and advertisements, often portraying police roles. His photos with top Bollywood actors, frequently shared on social media, reflected his extensive film journey.

Although the official cause of death has not been confirmed, sources suggest that Warang had been unwell for some time. Earlier, he had recovered from jaundice in December, but his sudden illness led to his passing.

The Marathi industry has recently lost several renowned artists, including veteran actor Achyut Potdar (August 18), actress Jyoti Chandekar (August 16), and actress Priya Marathe (August 31). Warang’s death has deepened the grief already shadowing the entertainment world.

Colleagues, fans, and industry members have expressed heartfelt condolences, remembering him as a dedicated performer whose characters, though often small, left a lasting impression on audiences.
