The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2025 is scheduled to take place online on February 22 and 23, 2025, for individuals looking to join different branches of the Indian Air Force (IAF). The exam will be conducted in two sessions: the first from 10 AM to 12 PM and the second from 3 PM to 5 PM. Candidates for the morning session should arrive by 8 AM, while those for the afternoon session should report by 1 PM.

The Indian Air Force administers the AFCAT, which is available to unmarried Indian citizens, both male and female. For candidates aspiring to join the Flying Branch, the age requirement is between 20 and 24 years as of 1 July 2025. Additionally, they must have completed their education in Mathematics and Physics with a minimum of 50% marks, along with a three-year university degree achieving at least 60% marks. The age range for the Technical and Ground Duty branches is set at 20 to 26 years as of the same date.

Admit Card verification, ID proof checks, biometric data collection, and photograph capturing will occur from 8 AM to 9:45 AM for the first session and from 1 PM to 2:45 PM for the second session.

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam center under any circumstances once the verification process has started, specifically at 8 AM for Shift-1 and 1 PM for Shift-2.

Instructions can be reviewed from 9:45 AM to 10:00 AM for the first shift, and from 2:45 PM to 3:00 PM for the second shift.

The numerical ability questions will be set at the matriculation level, while the standards for other subjects will align with graduation level as per Indian University criteria. The examination will be administered exclusively in English.

The examination will consist of four sections, contributing to a cumulative total of 300 marks. The duration allocated for the exam is two hours. The sections included are General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test.

Each correct answer will earn three points, while one point will be subtracted for each incorrect response. Questions that are not attempted will receive no points. Prior to announcing the results, the scores of the candidates will be adjusted for normalization.
