JSW MG Motor India rolls out the 2026 MG Hector facelift with a lower starting price, refreshed design and segment-first features to boost its mid-size SUV appeal.

JSW MG Motor India has launched the 2026 MG Hector facelift in the Indian market with a significant price reduction of up to ₹2 lakh compared to the outgoing model. The revised pricing is aimed at strengthening the Hector’s position in the competitive mid-size SUV segment, while offering more technology, comfort and safety features to buyers.

The all-new MG Hector is now available at an introductory ex-showroom price starting from ₹11.99 lakh, going up to ₹19.49 lakh depending on the variant. Both five-seater and seven-seater configurations are on offer. Diesel variants will be introduced at a later stage.

On the design front, the facelifted Hector gets a refreshed exterior with a bold hexagonal grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and new alloy wheels that enhance its road presence. MG has also introduced new colour options to give the SUV a more contemporary look.

Inside, the Hector’s cabin has been reworked to deliver a more premium experience. The SUV features dual-tone interior themes depending on seating configuration, updated upholstery, and refined dashboard finishes. Comfort-focused upgrades include ventilated front seats, a six-way power-adjustable driver seat, tilt and telescopic steering, and improved cabin materials.

One of the biggest highlights is the introduction of segment-first i-SWIPE touch gesture control technology, allowing users to operate functions like air-conditioning, music and navigation through hand gestures. The SUV also comes equipped with a 14-inch HD portrait touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, digital Bluetooth key, remote AC control and predictive maintenance alerts.

In terms of safety, the new MG Hector is offered with six airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program, traction control, hill-hold assist and brake assist. Higher variants also get a 360-degree HD camera and Level 2 ADAS features, strengthening its safety credentials.

Powering the petrol variants is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, paired with both manual and CVT transmission options. MG has also introduced Smart Boost technology to improve performance response and driving smoothness.

Commenting on the launch, JSW MG Motor India MD Anurag Mehrotra said the Hector has been a cornerstone product for the brand, with over 1.5 lakh customers so far, and the new update aims to take its design, comfort and technology to the next level.

With its revised pricing, feature upgrades and tech-focused approach, the new MG Hector is positioned as a strong value proposition for buyers looking for a well-equipped mid-size SUV.
