Pune: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Pune on February 22, marking his first visit to the city after the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election victory. Extensive preparations are underway by Pune’s BJP officials to welcome him.
Western Regional Meeting at Koregaon Park
Amit Shah will participate in the Western Regional Meeting of the Ministry of Home Affairs, scheduled to take place at a five-star hotel in Koregaon Park. Senior officials from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli will attend the meeting. Pune Municipal Corporation’s Additional Commissioner Prithviraj B.P. has been tasked with overseeing the arrangements.
Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme Event in Balewadi
Later, Amit Shah will attend a major event under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Housing for All) at Balewadi, Pune. The program will include the distribution of first installments and approval certificates to beneficiaries for homes in rural areas.
Prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and Eknath Shinde, will be present at the event. The program is part of a state-wide initiative aimed at accelerating the government’s commitment to affordable housing.
