Amitabh Bachchan Acquires Second Land Parcel in Ayodhya
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has expanded his investments in Ayodhya with a second land purchase. According to The Times of India, the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Trust—established in honor of his father—has acquired a 54,454-square-foot plot, located about 10 kilometers from the Ram Mandir.
This follows his previous purchase on January 16, 2024, when he bought land in Haveli Avadh for ₹4.54 crore. The transactions were handled by Rajesh Rishikesh Yadav on Bachchan’s behalf.
Pratap Singh, Assistant Inspector General of the Stamp and Registration Department, confirmed the acquisitions, noting that the intended use of both properties will be determined once local authorities approve development plans. Sources suggest the Haveli Avadh land is for residential purposes, while the newly acquired plot is intended for charitable activities.
