Veteran Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor has reportedly declined a lucrative ₹10 crore offer to endorse a popular pan masala brand, citing personal principles and concerns for public health. Kapoor, known for his commitment to fitness and social responsibility, turned down the deal, saying that endorsing such a product would go against his values.

According to sources, Kapoor feels a “deep sense of responsibility” toward his fans and the public, and he is unwilling to promote any product that could have adverse effects on health, regardless of the financial incentive. “He believes it’s important to maintain integrity and set a positive example,” a source told Money Control.

While Kapoor has yet to officially comment on the reports, his decision has garnered widespread praise from fans and social media users, who are applauding him for prioritizing integrity over profit.

This move follows criticism faced by other Bollywood stars, including Ajay Devgn, Shah Rukh Khan, and Akshay Kumar, for endorsing pan masala products. In fact, after facing backlash for his involvement in a similar ad, Akshay Kumar issued a public apology and promised not to feature in such promotions again.

Similarly, actor John Abraham, who is widely regarded as a fitness icon, made headlines a few months ago when he vowed never to endorse pan masala products. Abraham emphasized that, while he doesn’t criticize other actors for participating in such ads, he personally refuses to “sell death” for money, stating that it’s a matter of principle.

Pan masala products, while controversial for their health risks, continue to be endorsed by several celebrities, partly due to the massive revenue they generate for the government.
