The first mango box of the season debuted in Pune in a much-awaited event, paving the way for a bountiful crop. Mangoes are popular among the general public and are regarded as the “king of fruits.” The arrival of first-grade mangoes has excited Pune locals.

One month ahead of schedule, the first box of premium mangoes arrived at the Market Yard today. It contained twelve of the highly sought-after Ratnagiri Hapus variety. This early arrival is a major development for mango enthusiasts, as the atmosphere has been deemed perfect for mango cultivation this year.

The first batch of mangoes was blessed at the Market Yard with the traditional pooja ceremony, highlighting the mangoes’ cultural and commercial importance. The first box went up for auction after the ceremony, drawing enthusiastic bidders.

A well-known fruit merchant won the fierce bidding war and took home the valuable box for an astounding Rs 21,000. This indicates that a single mango is worth Rs 440, highlighting the first batch’s superior quality.

A box of Ratnagiri Hapus mangoes belonging to an experienced trader in the Market Yard was discovered by a farmer from the Pawas area by chance.

Mango lovers are looking forward to a plentiful mango season, and the early arrival of the first box in Pune suggests that this year will provide plenty of them. Mango enthusiasts can’t wait for these delicious fruits to become widely available in April.
