Are you a cleanliness champion?
The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation plans to honour the Swachhata Champions with certificates.
In order to escalate Pimpri Chinchwad city to the top position in the country in Swachh Survekshan 2023, participation of citizens in various activities is encouraged by the Municipal Corporation.
The aim of Swachh Survey is to increase the participation of citizens from all walks of life in this campaign and create public awareness through information, education and communication.
Participating citizens, groups of citizens, CSR representatives, volunteers and groups who have done excellent work in cleanliness under this initiative will be honored as ‘Swachhata Champions’ on behalf of the Municipal Corporation.
Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh has appealed that citizens and all sections of the society should participate in this campaign.
Pimpri Chinchwad city has participated in Swachh Survekshan 2023 under Swachh Bharat Mission. Under the ‘Swachhata Champions’ initiative, citizens, groups of citizens, CSR representatives, volunteers and groups who have done excellent work in cleanliness will be honored as ‘Swachhata Champions’ on behalf of the Municipal Corporation.
Citizens must be 18 or above to participate in the ‘Swachta Champions’ initiative. Citizens or group of citizens participating in this activity should be residents of Pimpri Chinchwad city. Also, the sanitation work done by them should have been done in Pimpri Chinchwad city area. On behalf of the Municipal Corporation, 10 women and 10 men will be selected as cleanliness champions. They will not be given any cash prize but will be honored with a certificate on behalf of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.Citizens or groups of citizens should present their actions related to cleanliness (IEC, 3R principal, composting from waste, tree plantation, making various products from waste, recycling, sustainable from waste, etc.). A minimum of 50 words should be used to describe the best work done.
Name of person or organization, contact number, working photograph should be sent to [email protected] by 11 November, 2022 by 2 PM. The registration received after that will not be accepted, informed the Swachh Bharat Coordinator and Assistant Commissioner Vinod Jalak of the Municipal Corporation.
