Pune, May 13, 2026: The official schedule for the annual Ashadhi Wari Palkhi procession of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj has been announced by the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Sansthan Committee ahead of Ashadhi Ekadashi, which falls on July 25 this year.
According to the announced schedule, the traditional foot pilgrimage (Palkhi Sohala) will commence from Alandi on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 (Jyeshtha Vadya Ashtami) at 3 pm and proceed towards Pandharpur. The first halt of the procession will remain at Alandi itself.

- July 9 – Bhavani Peth, Pune
- July 10 – Pune
- July 11 – Saswad
- July 12 – Saswad
- July 13 – Jejuri
- July 14 – Walhe
- July 15 – Lonand
- July 16 – Taradgaon
- July 17 – Phaltan
- July 18 – Barad
- July 19 – Natepute
- July 20 – Malshiras
- July 21 – Velapur
- July 22 – Bhandishegaon
- July 23 – Wakhri
- July 24 – Pandharpur
The Palkhi will stay in Pandharpur on July 25, 26, 27, and 28. The return journey will begin on July 29, and the procession is scheduled to reach Alandi again on August 8.
Ringan Ceremony Schedule
- July 16: First standing Ringan at Chandobacha Limb before reaching Taradgaon halt after departing from Lonand.
- July 20: First circular Ringan at Purandawade while travelling from Natepute to Malshiras.
- July 21: Second circular Ringan at Khudus Phata while proceeding from Malshiras to Velapur.
- July 22: Third circular Ringan at Thakurbuva Samadhi while travelling from Velapur to Bhandishegaon.
- July 23: Second standing Ringan and fourth circular Ringan at Bajirao’s Well while travelling from Bhandishegaon to Wakhri.
- July 24: Third standing Ringan near the Padukas while travelling from Wakhri to Pandharpur.
On July 15, the holy Padukas of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj will be ceremonially bathed in the Nira River during the traditional Nira Snan ritual.
Pune Halt to Continue at Bhavani Peth
The ongoing discussions regarding the Pune halt of the Palkhi procession have finally been resolved. Considering the written assurance given by the administration along with promises for expansion of the available space, the Sansthan Committee has decided to continue this year’s halt at the Vitthal Temple in Bhavani Peth, Pune.
The detailed information about the Palkhi procession was shared during a press conference organized by the Sansthan Committee. Those present included Palkhi Sohala owner Arfalkar, chief trustee Bhavarth Dekhne, Sohala chief Rajendra Umap, trustee Chaitanya Maharaj Londhe, trustee Rohini Pawar, and Bhausaheb Gosavi from the Dindi community.
