Rescue teams are facing challenging conditions due to heavy snowfall as efforts continue to locate the missing workers.
According to officials, 57 workers engaged in road construction were caught in the avalanche, with 10 rescued and sent to an army camp near Mana in critical condition. Rescue operations are being carried out by ITBP, BRO, and local authorities.
“A massive avalanche has occurred near the BRO camp in the border area of Mana, trapping 57 workers. So far, 10 workers have been rescued and shifted to the army camp in critical condition,” said Uttarakhand Police spokesperson Nilesh Anand Bharne.
