Actress Ayesha Khan has made a shocking revelation about the harassment she has faced in the entertainment industry and on social media. In a recent interview, the Bigg Boss fame actress spoke openly about receiving obscene messages, rape threats and inappropriate voice notes from people connected to film sets.
Speaking about the issue, Ayesha said that online harassment has become a daily reality for her as a public figure. She revealed that people frequently comment on her appearance and clothing on social media platforms.
Ayesha said that even when she posts pictures wearing simple clothes, she receives offensive comments. “I get comments about my body almost every day on Instagram. Even if I wear a normal top, people have a problem. Even if I wear a skirt, they have a problem. I have to think before posting anything. If I have to think before wearing or posting anything just because someone will say something about my look, that is a really sad situation,” she said.
The actress also revealed that she regularly receives threats of sexual violence online. According to Ayesha, such messages have become so common that she could open her phone at any moment and show examples of them.
During the interview, Ayesha also spoke about a disturbing incident that happened during a film shoot. She recalled discovering offensive voice notes on her Instagram that were allegedly sent by a spot boy working on the set.
Ayesha said she accidentally noticed the messages while checking her phone during the shoot. After realising where the voice notes had come from, she immediately informed her father, who was present on the set at the time.
Following the complaint, action was reportedly taken against the individual involved. The actress said she felt relieved only after steps were taken to address the issue.
Ayesha also shared that she had previously spoken about surviving sexual assault but does not wish to revisit those painful memories again. She said there are still moments when the trauma resurfaces and affects her emotionally.
Reflecting on the pressures faced by women in the industry, Ayesha said female actors often deal with both professional challenges and personal safety concerns while navigating public life.
Career Journey
Ayesha Khan began her acting career in television, initially working as a junior artist in Ekta Kapoor’s popular show Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She later appeared in television shows such as Baalveer Returns.
In 2022, she made her appearance in the Telugu film Mukhachitram. Ayesha gained wider recognition after participating in the reality show Bigg Boss.
She has since been associated with projects including Kis Kisko Pyar Karoon 2, Dhurandhar, Jaat and Gangs of Godavari, gradually building her presence in the film industry.
